For filament and printer manufacturers

Whether your material runs is decided by your customer today. Their experience. And which template they happen to get.

Your profile.
Ready at the customer's.

Your reputation now depends on how well a stranger knows their way around slicers.

Whoever builds printers and slicers puts their own filament profiles in from the factory. As a pure material manufacturer, you never had that path before. FilamentPilot creates it — for every common slicer.

The starting point

Your filament is up against the house brand.

Bambu Lab, Prusa, QIDI and Creality build printers, sell filament and ship the slicer to match. Their spools already sit there as a ready-made profile. The customer picks it, prints, done.

Manufacturers with their own slicer

  • ✓ Profile is built in from the factory
  • ✓ The customer picks it from a list
  • ✓ The first print succeeds
  • ✓ Next purchase, they reach for the house brand again

Pure material manufacturers — until now

  • ✗ No profile in your customer's slicer
  • ✗ The customer dials it in themselves — or searches a forum
  • ✗ The first spool becomes an experiment
  • ✗ If the print fails, the material takes the blame

And the consequence

In the end, you develop material for someone else's profiles.

This isn't an unfair trick — the big players earned that advantage. But it steers your development: if your customers work with someone else's factory profiles, your filament has to fit exactly that. You end up developing to match someone else's settings instead of your own material — and everything becomes more alike. Your material was never the problem — the missing settings were.

The last few percent

Your slicer profile gives the starting point. Your knowledge delivers the rest.

One package. Every slicer.

You maintain only your own slicer. Profile and knowledge travel in one file. Your customer uses it in ten slicers. This clearly lowers the risk of a failed print.

Engineering materials, a rule of thumb from the workshop. Your customer does the fine-tuning on their own printer.

How we explain it to your customers on the home page

With FilamentPilot

You get the same path — without your own printer and without your own slicer.

One file your customer loads. One click, and your profile sits in their slicer — with the values you've tested. Your customer doesn't have to figure anything out. The first spool runs — and the second is bought from you again.

Maintain once, usable everywhere

One profile. Every slicer.

You're not building anything from scratch. What's already in your slicer profile is filled in the moment you import it — you only add what you already know. And your customers don't change how they work at all. They keep slicing in their usual program. Your profile simply shows up in the list there — with everything you know about your material.

  2. 2 one click

    Import your filaments

Temperatures, flow rate, cooling appear on the card right away.

  3. 3 2–3 min. per filament

    Enter tested values

What your tests found: build plate, adhesive, drying, support distance per nozzle. Add the datasheet as a PDF. Material types, rating levels and tags all use your own terminology — fifteen lists are freely editable.

  4. 4 one click

    Hand it out

As a file in your shop, on the product page, or by email.

You do steps 1 and 2 once. After that it's two to three minutes per filament. No editorial system, no training, no ongoing maintenance.

Maintain it once. Every customer can print.

You maintain per printer series

Not per device, not per slicer. Your customer assigns the profile to their printer when they import it.

The first print works

Your customer starts with your tested values instead of a table in a PDF.

Fewer support tickets

What gets reported as a material fault is often a settings problem.

Do your customers use a slicer that's missing here? Many are variants of the ones listed — FilamentPilot searches for them itself at the press of a button and adds them in. Your customers don't need a paid licence: the Free version reads your file and writes it into their slicer.

Exactly how your customer opens the file and assigns it to their slicer — step by step, with pictures from the app — is covered on /funktionen.

The same slicer

Both in place — and they print just like you

For customers who print on your machines. The bundle belongs to the slicer it came from — your customer doesn't even need FilamentPilot for this.

For everyone else the single file from the section above — it goes into every slicer, without your settings.

How it played out in practice

Before

Days of trial and error with a fibre-reinforced material.

After the bundle

First print. Very good results.

A user spent days fighting Grauts HPP-40GF, a fibre-reinforced material. On Grauts' behalf, we sent them the bundle: the material values and the print settings that worked on our machine of the same type. They could start right away — with very good results.

Company mode

Your cheat sheet. Your brand.

Your customer prints out an A4 page and hangs it next to the printer. Your values are on it — and your name.

Footer of a FilamentPilot cheat sheet: company logo on the left, company name with address next to it, QR code to the company website on the right
This is what the footer looks like: your logo, your contact line, your QR code — on every printout, for every one of your materials.

Your datasheet says what your material is: lab values, temperature ranges, certificates. The cheat sheet says how to print it: concrete temperatures, build plate, adhesive, drying time — on one page, with your name underneath.

You need both. Until now, there was only the first one.

Manufacturer stamp

Your name travels with every profile.

Every FilamentPilot file of your brands carries your logo, your name, your website and the printer series. Stamped are the brands you list in FilamentPilot as your own. Profiles of other brands stay unchanged. Your customer sees it on import, on the filament card and on their cheat sheet: this profile comes from you.

You maintain your own profiles — no middleman, no approval loop, no platform between you and your customers. Company mode is part of the Workshop licence.

What it does for you

Your stake: €69.99. Once.

What's on the other side of the scale, you work out with your own numbers. We don't plug in any values for you.

Not included — the real lever: the customer whose first spool works right away and who therefore buys from you again. What that customer is worth over the years, you know better than we do, so there's no number for it here. The calculation below only shows what you save in cost.

What your customers get out of it

The first spool works. And the second one is yours again.

No failed first attempt

Your profile is in the slicer before the first print even starts. The customer judges your material — not their own settings.

No digging through forums

Drying, build plate, support material: what's usually scattered across five videos sits with your material. The customer prints as always — and has your know-how along.

Reordering without searching

Your shop link hangs as a QR code on the printer. When the spool runs out, the way back to you is one scan away.

This is the real lever — and the one number we deliberately don't count below. What repeat purchases are worth, you know better than we do.

Let's talk.

In fifteen minutes, we'll show you what FilamentPilot does for your brand. The first step costs you nothing.
